英文摘要The combined use of smart materials, complementing each other’s characteristics and resulting in medical devices with optimized features, is providing new solutions in the medical field. The use of ingenious combinations of smart materials has brought along new functions of medical devices. Here, we report a novel strategy for preparing shape-adjustable flexible microelectrode arrays (fMEAs) by grafting or coating smart polymer onto the backside of fMEAs. The prepared functional fMEAs exhibited rapid shape-adjustable properties by heating to near-human-body temperature (37℃) or irradiating with NIR light. In addition, structurally coloured contact lenses obtained by introducing photonic crystal structure into the contact lenses have also been demonstrated. The resulting contact lenses can be potentially used for glaucoma detection. The multifunctional medical devices, including shape-adjustable fMEAs and contact lenses, hold clinical promise in serving as functional medical devices.
