英文摘要The connection of sensor nodes to the Internet has been achieved using a proxy-based approach (e.g. smart phone) or IP protocol for the sensor network itself. How to design software system that can manage sensor nodes through web service has become a new topic due to the low availability of resources and processing capacity of the sensor nodes. In this paper, we propose a new framework IO-Pipe. We call it IO-Pipe because data input and output just like the water flow into and flow out of pipe. In the system using IO-Pipe, data collected by sensors will be uploaded to a remote server through IO-Pipe. On the other hand, the back-end servers can control sensing devices by sent commands through IO-Pipe. There are three parts in IO-Pipe: Mobile Server (MS), Web Server (WS) and Data Storage (DS). MS is in charge of communicating with IP-based mobile sensor nodes and proxy gateway (e.g. smart phone which can connects sensor node via Bluetooth or build-in accessories), while WS communicate with web browser, DS is used to store data sent by sensor nodes or web. IO-Pipe can provide efficient data storage and it is a perfect framework, which provides a connection between sensor nodes and web. The IO-Pipe keeps KISS ("Keep It Simple, Stupid") principle. Using many excellent open source (php, nginx, redis), the IO-Pipe is only less than 1000 lines of source code to achieve the adoption of the super-lightweight. With 50 million requests per day, our cluster of IO-Pipe, which are composed by three computing nodes and a storage node, are handling over 1k queries per second. At present, we make the IO-Pipe open source so that everyone can use and improve it.
