中文摘要高功率固体激光器因其所具有的脉冲能量大、峰值功率高、结构紧凑、牢固 耐用、易于维护等优点而倍受人们关注。同时,由于应用需要人们对脉冲重复频 率的要求越来越高,但是随着重复频率的升高,激光器热效应问题加居J,影响了 激光器的工作效率。本论文针对高功率、高重复率固体激光器热效应问题进行了 重点研究。 本论文属于国家863高技术计划机载激光测深系统专项课题的部分研究内 容,论文针对用于机载测深的kHz高功率全固态激光器的运转要求,首先,应用环绕侧向抽运结构,使得抽运均匀性得到很好改善;其次,对Nd:YAY晶伏的热透镜效应进行建模分析,并使用矩阵分析方法对等效热透镜腔进行分析,最后设计了激光器结构。此上,论文还开展不同的腔型结构对激光输出功率、发散角和光斑大小的影响进行了实验比对。实验发现热致双折射效应会极戈地降低增益介质的消光比,破坏腔内激光的线偏振特性,从而极大地降低输出激光的脉冲能量,破妹光束质量:限制激光器的连续运行时间。同时,我们使用实验测量的方法,观察和比较热致双折射对激光输出性能的影响。从实验研究的角度出发,讨论在高重复率和高功率抽运下,Nd:YAG放大器(MOPA结构)的热致双折射及热透镜效应对激光放大倍数和输出激光偏振特性的影响,为高重复率大功率全固态放大器的设计提供实验依据。
英文摘要High power Diode-laser-pumped solid-state laser, has become a focus in recent years due to it's many advantages such as high pulse-energy, high pulse-power, compact structure,durable and easy to maintenance.As time goes by.high repetition output laser has been needed for different applications.But with the repetition rate raising .the thermal effect has worsen the performance of laser. It's emphasis of our work to study the thermal effect of the high-power, high repetition all-solid-state laser. The work is one part of works in the 863 project of airborne laser depth mapping. In our work. Firstly, a compact LD arrays side-pumped structure was constructed Lo improve the uniform of pump energy distribution using homemade pump-head strutcue. Secondly, by using the matrix method, the equivalent resonator performance was studied. Finally, a laser structure was designed. In addition, the effects of different cavity structure on the output power, beam divergence and dimension of facula were discussed. In experiment, a fact has been found that the effect of thermally induced birefringence depresses the ratio of extinction.degrades linear polarization, worsen performance of laser output. In fifth part of this paper, the characteristics of LDA side-pumped high frequency repetition rate Nd.YAG amplifier were studied. The thermal focal length of Nd:YAG rod. and the thermally depolarization to laser beam caused by thermally induced birefringence in gain medium were detected.This part of work helps people to learn more about high repetition all-solid-state amplifier.
