中文摘要自由电子激光器具有高功率、高效率可调谐的特点,因而在医学、材料学等领域有很好的应用前景。自由电子激光器今后的发展方向是小型化和实用化。上海光机所毫米波拉曼自由电子激光器正在向小型化方向迈进。为此已经研制出了虚火花放电装置和小周期摇摆器。本论文研究了虚火花束源以及其在自由电子激光器中的应用,成果包括:1.提高了虚火花放电的稳定性。2.大大改善虚火花电子束的质量。3.实验证明了摇摆器磁场能提高电子束聚焦性能。4.对原有的FEL模拟程序作了改进。5.模拟证实了虚火花束源FEL小型化的可能性。6.模拟得到了虚火花束源FEL的运行特性。全文共分为五个部分。第一章为综述,介绍自由电子激光器的基本原理,特点及应用,历史、现状和发展趋势。第二章介绍了虚火花放电,并给出了虚火花放电实验结果,提高了虚火花放电的稳定性;电子束能量达到480keV,电流达到13kA,电子束的传输距离达到75cm;并证明了摇摆器磁场能提高电子束聚焦性能。第三章采用数值模拟方法,研究了虚火花束源FEL 小型化的可能性及运行性能。对原有的FEL模拟程序作了改进;通过计算发现,虚火花束源器件FEL得到的饱和点位置比以往装置更近,辐射功率更强;而且可以去掉导引磁场,实现激光器的小型化。第四章对本论文工作进行总结。
英文摘要Free electron laser (FEL) has a high output power, high output efficiency and a wide tunable band. Due to these merits, FEL has various applications on medicine, materials science, etc. At present FEL is developing toward the direction that it is becoming more compact and more useful. Millimeter wave Raman FEL in Shanghai Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics is becoming compact. Therefor, pseudospark chamber and small-period wiggler have been developed. The pseudospark beam source is studied in the dissertation. Possibility of compact free electron laser with pseudospark beam source and its operating characteristic are also investigated. The performance in the thesis includes: 1. Stability of pseudospark discharge is enhanced. 2. Throughout experiment it proves that wiggler field can improve the focusing quality of electron beam. 4. The original simulation program of FEL is mended. 5. It proves that it's possible to make FEL with pseudospark beam source compact by simulation. 6. Operating characteristic of FEL with pseudospark beam source is obtained by simulation. There are four chapters in the thesis: Chapter 1 introduces the principle, characteristics and applications, history, status and development of free electron laser. In chapter 2 pseudospark discharge is introduced, and experiment results of pseudospark discharge in Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics are presented. Stability of pseudospark discharge is enhanced; Beam with energy of 480keV and beam current of 13kA is obtained, and the transmission distance of beam is added to 75cm; Throughout experiment it proves that wiggler field can improve the focusing quality of electron beam. Possibility of compact free electron laser with pseudospark beam source and its operating characteristic are studied by numerical simulation in Chapter 3. The original simulation program of FEL is mended; Compared with past device, compact device has closer position of saturation point and higher radiation power; FEL can operate without guide field and become compact. Chapter 4 is the summary of the dissertation.
