中文摘要环形非稳腔具有模体积大,限模能力强、无空间烧孔效应等优势,在大功率激光器中占有重要的位置。但其调整困难、存在倒向波等问题,一直影响着这种类型的激光器在更多更广的地方的应用。 本论文调研国内外发展趋势,开展带倒向波抑制镜的环形非稳腔激光器的研究工作。建立数学模型,模拟计算使用倒向波抑制镜对环形非稳腔的影响。着重分析腔参数与抑制效果、输出功率的关系,并使用快速傅立叶变换的方法计算波面振幅分布,判断倒向波抑制镜对正向输出光束质量的影响。并由这些计算结果,设计实验方案与计算结果比较,得出结论。 通过自洽方程,使用Matlab计算带有倒向波抑制镜的环形非稳腔正、倒向波的稳定过程,通过改变腔长、放大率等参数来计算,得到一系列数值结果。结果表明,使用倒向波抑制镜能明显提高正向波的输出,并能抑制倒向波,正向波比倒向波的功率比可达20。数值结果与理论分析一致表明,气体分子的多普勒频移导致正、倒向波的频率变化,频率分开的越小,竞争越大,抑制效果越好,但正向波输出功率则有所下降。对于特定的结构,存在着最佳的放大率,使正向波的输出最大。本论文由数值计算结果证明了倒向波抑制镜的引入能增大环形非稳腔输出功率。在输出光束质量方面,首先还原了Fox和Li的平面腔自再现模,然后通过同样的流程,用快速傅立叶变换的方法计算出使用抑制镜前后正向波光束光斑的振幅分布。结果表明,使用倒向波抑制镜,能增加正向波的输出功率,同时不影响光束质量。计算结果表明,合适的参数是环形非稳腔倒向波抑制镜发挥作用的关键点。 设计了小型的环形腔半导体激光侧面泵浦板条激光器,并引入了补偿增益不均匀的三角棱镜以及作为输出和抑制倒向波的双面刮刀镜。实验表明,使用了补偿结构能提高正向输出和改善光束质量。
英文摘要The advantage of large mode volume and without hole-burning effect of unstable ring resonator makes it to be one of the most important kinds of cavity for high-power lasers. Due to the influence of the reverse wave and the difficulty to adjust, applications are limited. The background for unstable ring resonators with reverse wave suppressor (RWS) was investigated. A mathematical model was established for this kind of laser resonators. With the help of the computer numerical computation, relationship among the parameters and output power and suppress effect was analyzed. Besides, by the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method, it was researched how the RWS influence the distribution of the forward wave’s intensity. With the help of the self-consistent-equation, Matlab computation results show that RWS can increase the output power of forward wave and suppress the reverse wave in unstable ring resonators, by changing the parameters such as the length and magnification of resonator. When forward wave and reverse wave compete for the same particles, which is caused by Doppler Frequency Shift, reverse wave suppress ratio gets as high as 20 while forward wave output declines. To a certain resonator, the magnitude can be optimized for the highest output amplitude. Results show that introduction of RWS can increase the output of unstable ring resonators, which is the same with theory. On the other hand, a FFT method gets the result that introduce of a RWS do not influence the output amplitude distribution. With the very same process, a plane cavity self reproduce mode is got, which has already done by Fox and Li. So the result is reliable, and a RWS will not influence the output amplitude. As the calculative result shows, a proper parameter is the key for the performance of a RWS. An LDA pumped unstable ring resonator Nd:YAG slab leaser experiment is designed. A triangle prism is introduced to compensate the absorption imbalance and a two sided scraper is used as a RWS and also a output mirror. The experiments show that a triangle prism can make gain more uniform and can also increase the output power.
