英文摘要This paper is based on the project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, which is "Study on the technique of pulsed burst-mode switch to realize huge pulsed CO2 laser output"(Grant No. 60078017). As is well known that realization of the high-power pulsed laser is very interesting, and it has many virtues that the CW laser doesn't have, for example several material-processing applications, like cutting and welding of high-thermal conductivity and high-reflectivity materials, improvement in cut-edge quality, etc. The pulsed CO2 laser with high-average and high-peak power can give better laser energy utilization efficiency when compared with CW laser. One of the creative points of the paper is employing the preionized pulsed-mode switcded technique to realize pulsed CO2 laser output. The method has many virtues, such as high-average and high-peak power laser, operation at both CW and pulsed mode, and the adjustable pulse-width etc. The core idea is utilizing preionized pulsed-mode as a switch to control the main discharge, which can control the pour-in of the main discharged pulse with scores of kilowatt or even more, only by modulating the preionized pulsed-mode train with several hundred average power. And the final aim is to realize the pulsed CO2 laser output, energy with tens of Joule per pulse, pulse-width adjustable at the range of sub-millisecond or millisecond, and 100% modulation depth. Another of the creative points rests with our experimented transverse-flow CO2 laser with unique electrode structure, which has the virtues of cheap cost, large pour-in power per volume, and easy fabrication of the power supply. Author's main works are the measurements on parameter of a novel pulsed CO2 laser, including measurements on the wave shapes of the voltage, current and light at the different processes such as preionization, main discharge and light output, the light modulation depth measurement and preionization power supply improvement. This paper includes six chapters in all. Chapter One is introduction. Chapter Two mainly demonstrates various kinds of preionization technology for high-power CO2 lasers, especially for the PIE CO2 laser. Chapter Three presents Burst-mode technique. Chapter Four introduces the transverse-flow CO2 Laser with unique electrode structure in our experiment, including the improvement for preionizaiton power supply. Chapter Five is the core of the paper-measurements on the parameters. Chapter Six is conclusion.
