中文摘要本文以脉冲激光与薄膜相互作用出发,在热力祸合破坏理论的基础上完善了多层膜温度场模型和界面吸附模型,并把缺陷在激光损伤过程中的个体作用引入到热力损伤机制,建立了缺陷吸收损伤模型,考虑了缺陷的线性和非线性吸收过程对膜层热响应的贡献,从而使热力祸合损伤机制趋于完善。通过上述理论模型及分析手段,对各种典型激光薄膜的激光损伤过程进行了详细的实验研究和理论模拟,并在此基础上探讨了多种损伤源头在损伤过程中的作用及行为,剖析了光学薄膜的激光损伤机制。根据国际标准ISO11254—1.2建立了激光损伤闪值测试标准系统,完成了对整个测试的自动化,可进行多种方法的lJ值测试,大大提高了测试系统的测试精度及效率,并以该系统参加了国内中科院中物院的阂值测试联合定标活动,通过本次联合测试协调了各测试单位的测试规范,为后续的光学薄膜激光损伤实验研究及理论研究打下了基础。研究了重复率激光作用下的光学薄膜损伤的累积效应,结果表明累积效应与膜层中的结构性缺陷密切相关,并且随波长的短移,影响累积损伤的结构性缺陷的临界尺度变小。进行了小光斑扫描激光预处理研究,通过实验现象并结合功能性损伤的概念对激光预处理的宏观表现形式进行了解释,研究了激光预处理增强效果的选择性。通过建立小光斑激光预处理与重复率激光损伤累积效应的联系,研究了两种过程相反效果的本质,在这个过程中发现,激光预处理是通过改善结构性缺陷的稳定性增强阈值的,而这种增强效果是有限度的,随着作用脉冲数目的增加而减弱,因此激光预处理是一种有限增强光学薄膜寿命的手段。
英文摘要Based on the Themperture Field model to explain laser induced damage of optical thin film coatings, laser induced local heating of multilayer with interface absorption layers was improved. The contribution of absorptive defect to thermal response of laser coatings was also analyzed, and defect induced laser damage model was proposed and developed. The absorptice defects induced damage model analyzed the linearly and non-linearly absorption of the defect. These two models give us a clear idea of the role of all kinds of absorption sourcese in the laser-induced local heating of optical coatings, and help us to analyze the damage behaviors of several typical optical coatings used in high power laser system. A set of Laser Induced Damage Threshold (LIDT) testing system based on ISO standard 11254-1.2 was established, which is automatic and help us to improve precision and efficiency of LIDT test. The author attended the National LIDT Testing Experiment organized by CAEP and CAS with our setup. The accumulation laser damage of optical coatings under repetitive laser radiation and free run laser was investigated. It found that the accumulation damage was related to structural defects in coatings for repetitive short pulse laser, and the size of effective structural defects decreased as the laser wavelength decrease. For free run laser, the laser damage was induced by instrisic absorption of the multilayers. A small beam-spot raster scanning experimental setup for laser conditioning was developed and a serie of laser conditioning experiments was performed. We illuminated the selectivity of laser conditioning based on functional laser damage concept. The laser conditioning enhancement and repetitive laser radiation degradation of laser damage resistance was investigated, and it is found that laser conditioning enhancement and laser damage accumulation was coexisted, and nodule or large size structural defects maybe was the determining factor to cause laser conditioning and multi-shot laser damage accumulation effects. Also laser conditioning is a method to prolong the lifetime.
