中文摘要光学薄膜是激光系统的关键元件,研究光学薄膜的激光破坏机制,对激光系统是非常重要的。本文从激光与光学薄膜的相互作用出发,通过大量的激光薄膜损伤实验,深入剖析了不同输出特性激光作用下光学薄膜的损伤机理。具体来说主要分为以下几个方面:围绕光学薄膜的激光损伤研究,建立了符合国际标准的激光损伤测试装置。对光学薄膜激光损伤的基本过程和损伤机制进行了论述,并对学薄膜激光损伤的一些实验规律进行了归纳总结;系统介绍了光学薄膜激光损伤的研究方法和测试规范。在脉冲激光热力祸合损伤机制的基础上完善了多层膜的温度场理论。发展了光学薄膜温度场理论设计的概念和方法,并把吸收性缺陷的个体作用引入到光学薄膜的热力祸合损伤过程,研究了光学薄膜缺陷破坏的线性和非线性过程。根据缺陷的性质和缺陷在膜层中的分布状况,分别从"点"和"面"两方面对热力祸合损伤的热过程进行了全面分析,从而使热力祸合损伤机制趋于完善。研究了多脉冲激光损伤的累积效应,探讨了多脉冲激光对光学薄膜的损伤规律。深入分析了多脉冲激光作用下,缺陷形成和发展的非线性累积过程。针对多脉冲激光损伤的力学过程,提出了多脉冲激光破坏的应力疲劳损伤机制,对多脉冲激光作用下热应力产生和发展的累积过程进行了研究。建立并完善了自由振荡激光损伤测试系统。利用该系统研究了自由振荡激光对不同光学薄膜的损伤特性,剖析了自由振荡激光的损伤机制。通过与单脉冲激光破坏过程和破坏形貌的对比分析,对两类激光不同的破坏规律进行了合理的解释,并综合比较了以上几种激光输出特性的破坏机制的异同。
英文摘要The paper focused on the effects of laser output characteristics for damage in optical coatings. The damage behaviors of the 1064nm Nd: YAG laser under Q-switched mode and free-running mode were systemically investigated. Attentions were paid to the damage-mechanism transformation from one laser mode to another. Following the proposal of Temperature Field theoretical model to explain laser-induced damage of optical coatings, laser induced local heating of multilayer with interface absorption layers was improved, the concept of "Temperature Field Design" was forward and developed in this thesis. The contribution of absorptive defect to thermal response of laser coatings was also analyzed, and defect induced laser damage model was proposed and developed. These two models give us a clear idea of the role of all kinds of absorption sources in the laser-induced local heating of optical coatings. Fundamental aspects of multi-shot laser damage were considered: thermal instability in an optical coatings due to pulse-to-pulse accumulation of absorbing defects and structure defects, mechanisms of laser induced defects generation. Following the above discussion, stress fatigue damage mechanism was firstly introduced to analyze the stress accumulation effect in the multi-shot damage of optical coatings. A free-running laser damage testing system was established. Damage behaviors of different optical coatings were investigated with free-running laser. The damage mechanism of free-running laser was also studied in detail. It was found that the accumulation of the spikes dominated the damage, while the initial stronger spikes played a key role in the damage generation. Some invert rules about optical-coating damage with free-running laser were also analyzed. The damage behaviors and damage mechanism of the different laser output characteristics were compared in the end.
