中文摘要量子相干控制是近年来量子光学和激光物理等学科的交叉前沿研究领域。其研究成果不仅推动了量子光学与激光物理等学科的发展,而且对于新兴学科如量子信息等的产生和发展具有重要意义。 本论文主要就多能级原子系统中原子局域及光学双稳等方面的量子相干控制进行了研究,取得的主要创新结果如下: 1. 利用tripod型的四能级原子系统中双暗态相互作用,探讨了该系统的原子局域特性,发现原子在次波长范围内探测到的几率可提高两倍。利用双暗态相互作用导致的尖锐吸收峰,可使局域的效果得到显著提高。 2. 用微波场耦合Lambda型三能级原子系统中的两个低能级以形成loop型系统, 探讨了该类型原子介质处于环型腔中的光学双稳行为, 发现可以利用微波场的振幅和位相操纵原子相干性, 调节探测场的吸收、色散特性,进而控制系统的双稳特性。 3. 研究在近等能级间隔的阶梯型三能级原子系统中, 自发辐射诱导相干对光学双稳的影响。 鉴于一个真空模同时与探测场和耦合场耦合而导致loop型系统的形成,首次考虑探测场与耦合场的相对位相对光学双稳的影响,发现调节相对位相,可以导致双稳和多稳间的相互转换。 4. 探讨了双暗态对双光子吸收的影响,发现一般情况下存在三条双光子跃迁的通道,出现两个双光子吸收透明点;而当两个透明窗口重合时,一条通道的双光子跃迁被抑制,只出现一个双光子吸收透明点。
英文摘要Study on quantum coherent control is the frontier of the cross research of Quantum Optics, Laser Physics and other disciplines. The research findings of quantum coherent control not only propel the development of these subjects but also have significant contributions to the emerge and progress of new subjects such as Quantum Information, etc.. In this thesis, we mainly investigate the quantum coherent control of properties of atom localization and optical bistability in multilevel atomic systems. The main results are: 1. By means of the interaction in double-dark resonances, we study the atom localization in a tripod-type atomic system. The probability of detecting the atom in a subwavelength domain can be increased two orders of magnitude. Making use of the sharp absorption resulting from interacting double-dark resonances, the effects of localization can be significantly improved. 2. Applying a microwave field to couple the transition between the two lower states in a Lambda-type three-level atomic system to form a closed-loop system, we investigate the optical bistability in the loop system confined in an optical ring cavity, and find that the atomic coherence, the absorptive and dispersive properties, and the behavior of optical bistability can be controlled via the amplitude and phase of the microwave field. 3. The effect of the spontaneously generated coherence in a nearly equispaced ladder-type tree-level atomic system on optical bistability is studied. Considering the formation of a loop system owing to the fact that a vacuum mode is simultaneously coupled with both the probe and the coupling fields, we take into account the influence of the relative phase between the probe and the coupling fields on the optical bistability for the first time, and find that it is possible to switch between bistability and multistability via adjusting the relative phase. 4. The effect of double-dark resonances on the two-photon absorption is investigated. In ordinary case, there exist three two-photon absorption paths, and two transparent points in two-photon absorption profile; however, when the two transparent points coincide, one of the three transition paths is canceled, and only one transparent point appears in two-photon absorption profile.
