Azimuth optimization of polarizers for the aerosol polarimeter

英文摘要The polarization effect of the imperfect lens components changes the analysis matrix of the polarimetry system, so the optimum configuration of the system shifts. In order to maximize SNR of the aerosol polarimeter, the polarization degree of the imperfect lens components was computed by means of Jones matrix, and the optimum azimuth angles of polarizers were found to minimize the condition number of the system analysis matrix and the parameter Tr(BBsupT/sup), respectively. After optimizing, the optimum angles of polarizers at 670 nm channel and 1641 nm channel were found, respectively. The condition number of the system analysis matrix reduced from 1.8360 to 1.6894 at 670 nm channel, while that of the system analysis matrix fall from 1.9777 to 1.7714 at 1641 nm channel. It is indicated that the results of these two optimization methods are consistent, and both of the SNRs are is improved about 10% at 670 nm and 1641 nm channels. , 2015, Chinese Society of Astronautics.
