Multi-image transmission and controlling real-time based on optical fiber

中文摘要In camera link image transmission, it is challenging to improve the high speed real-time image transmission in long distance. The paper proposes a new design to this problem, implement optical fiber transmission instead of camera link transmission. We achieved camera link parallel interface interconvert to optical fiber serial interface. On this basis, we developed a custom image transmission protocol, using the protocol to realize multi-image serial transmit to other subsystems, such as image processing subsystem, displaying subsystem and recording subsystem. Furthermore, in order to transmit CCD camera's image and control it real-time, this optical fiber channel composite transmit other information data, such as control command and external synchronous timing for camera, RS232 serial port etc. This paper describes the design of system requirements, system collectivity structure, system hardware platform and system software, especially data packet transmission design, frame transmission protocol design and camera link image reconstruction design are introduced in details. As a result, two camera's image multiple transmit by optical fiber at 3.125G / s is achieved. Extensive experiments on the whole system validate that the proposed design is effective in high speed real-time multi-image transmission, it has advantages of high bandwidth, high-quality image transmission, reduced workload of wiring and strong performance of anti-jamming etc.
