英文摘要	Based on the general solution of the force-free field obtained in Paper I, we give the corresponding expressions for a bipolar sunspot. The magnetic energy of the twisted field, that of the potential field, the disposable energy Δ M the flux, the current, the force-free parameter and the field-decay factor are all expressed as functions of 3 measurable quantities: the field intensity, the twist angle of penumbral filaments and the distance between the two centres of a bipolar spot. Applying these formulae to the active region of 1978 July fives a Δ M of the order of 10 32erg, sufficient to provide for the observed flare activity.
